Afibbers.org remains the longest running AFIB-centric patient education and advocacy resource online, dating back 22 years now.
And yet, we find ourselves in-the-midst of the COVID-19 pandemic as the first truly global virus that has swept the world since the 1918 Influenza, and that has literally touched the lives of everyone, and for all too many in profound and tragic ways.
As such, our readers are no exceptions in having had to deal with the same onslaught of unknowns, related anxieties, and mass disruptions on multiple levels that we have all faced to one degree or another these last two year's. And both vice-president Carey Gregory and I have fielded a good number of questions from our readers during this challenging time.
The heart of Afibbers.org is our large and dynamic patient forums, and when I reached out to La Jolla Institute for Immunology to inquire if it might be possible for Dr. Crotty to share with our readers his extraordinary insights and expertise, he was more than happy to do so.
And we are grateful for Dr. Crotty's kindness and interest in enlightening us all with some of the best insights on immunology and virology anywhere.
